autocascading, 20 hours agoIt’s an absolute sin that Google doesn’t share Call Screening with its own OS – Andr… moreYou can, it just has a few less features if non pixel, just they have made the feature a selling point for their devices running the OS they own lol, uses Google assistant to screen it so they are allowed to and makes sense it’s more integrated on pixels. (which isn’t un heard of on any platform).
Just because Google owns the OS doesn’t mean every phone on android should be developed for that purpose otherwise why would any company have any selling points be it hardware or software.
Using that same logic, why isn’t Samsung Dex designed for every android phone, all run the same software right and Google and Samsung work very closely together. Why doesn’t every android phone get security and OS updates all at the same time. Why can’t all android phones run any apple app they want, both ARM based and only need an emulator to run the coding language yet you aren’t complaining about that lol.
Fyi I used Truecaller app for calls and texts, that has screen calling. Samsung has screen calling, Motorola has screen calling aswell so obviously ignorant to it all I guess.

A lot of users are reporting that after a while that camera island is getting separated from the phone itself. Also if you look at the disassembly videos you can see that theres no glue in between only a couple of screws and you can separate it just with your fingers if you want.

Were the hell is the problem? What makes all others? Look at the iphone, Samsung, Xiaomi, Sony… When just look at the phone and you definitely can’t say a model year. Im dreaming for a phone that I can use my expensive cases from the old model on. We are very close to that but they won’t do it. Profit!

Phone manufacturers are supposed to release new models every two years now. The differences between new and old phone models are almost imperceptible now.

However, its cameras are so… moreFortunately enough, there are Google camera ports that outperform Pixel devices on their own, especially when used with similar or better camera hardware. They’re desperately attempting to make the Google camera cumbersome to use on non-Pixel devices, so that developers struggle to optimize them for non-Tensor hardware. Pretty disappointing for a firm brimming with corporate greed.

Other than the chipset I think Google are really going to struggle to sell these. It’s not enough of a change over the 9, especially visually. The battery size isn’t a large increase and will the camera difference be that big? I’ll wait for the results of the review but something tells me this will be harder to shift as allot of people waited for the 9 which solved alot of the previous gen problems.
