Earlier today, Samsung released the stable One UI 7.0 update in India. A few days ago, the update was released in South Korea. Select high-end phones, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 have started getting it, and more devices will get it in the coming weeks.
The stable One UI 7.0 update, based on Android 15, is now available in India. The update is currently available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Some devices have received the update in the Middle East, the UAE, and Turkey. The new software includes the April 2025 security patch as well.
The update could reach other markets, including North America soon. Other older high-end phones and mid-range devices will get the update next. Low-end Galaxy devices eligible with One UI 7.0 will get the update in the next couple of months.
One UI 7.0 is a major software update that brings a major UI redesign, featuring separate pages for notifications and the Quick Panel. The Quick Panel is now more customizable and even includes the volume slider. The new software also brings new app icons for stock apps, improved stock apps, a new camera app design with better one-handed accessibility, and new Galaxy AI features.
Samsung has also introduced a new widget styling and plenty of new and improved widgets for the home screen and the lock screen. Lock screen customizability has also been improved. All the animations and transitions across One UI 7 feel smoother and more playful than earlier versions. There is a new charging animation, a new battery icon in the status bar, and more battery health protection features.
One UI 7.0 also brings the Now Bar, which shows ongoing and live notifications on the lock screen. It shows updates from things like ongoing media playback, stopwatch, timer, maps navigation, sports scores, and Samsung Health workouts. There are plenty of other new features in the new software.
