Samsung has officially started rolling out its latest software update, One UI 7 based on Android 15, in India along with select other markets. Following a series of delays, the update is initially being pushed to the company’s newest flagship models.
The technology giant has highlighted that the rollout timeline for India may vary depending on how stable and reliable the update proves during the deployment process. Users are encouraged to regularly check their device settings to see when the One UI 7 update becomes available.
Check which models are getting the update
According to the schedule shared for India, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are among the first to receive the One UI 7 update. The update will also be made available for Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 phones.
Samsung will bring the updates for the Galaxy S24 FE in May. The update rollout will extend to the Galaxy S23 series and older models, starting with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3.
It is important to note that India is not the only country receiving the update. Samsung Community forum discussions suggest that users in Bangladesh, Nepal, and various Middle Eastern countries will also get the One UI 7 software. This expansion comes after the initial release in South Korea and Europe, where the rollout was temporarily paused and later resumed over the past few weeks.
One UI 7 features: Fresh UI redesign, enhanced widgets, new battery tools, and more
One UI 7 brings a major redesign to Samsung’s user interface. Users will notice separate pages for notifications and the Quick Panel. The Quick Panel now offers increased customisation options, such as a dedicated volume slider. In addition, the update introduces revamped app icons, redesigned stock apps, a refreshed camera app design optimised for one-handed use, and enhanced Galaxy AI features.
Samsung has also introduced new widget styles along with an array of improved lock screen and home screen widgets. The update brings smoother and more fluid animations across the system, making everyday interactions feel more lively. A redesigned battery icon now appears in the status bar, accompanied by a new charging animation and enhanced battery health protection tools.
