Examples of Apple Intelligence at work.
Apple is now on its third round for its current generation of developer betas, testing new builds of iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5, macOS 15.5, tvOS 18.5, watchOS 11.5, and visionOS 2.5.
The third round of testing for iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5, macOS 15.5, tvOS 18.5, watchOS 11.5, and visionOS 2.5 arrived after the second, which landed on April 14. The first round for this generation was handed out on March 17.
The third iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 developer betas share build number 22F5053j, replacing 22F5053f. The third macOS Sequoia 15.5 build uses number 24F5053j, up from 24F5053f.
The third tvOS 18.5 build is 22L5559d, replacing 22L5553d. The third watchOS 11.5 build is 22T5559d, moving from 22T5553d, while the third visionOS 2.5 build is 22O5459c, from the second’s 22O5453e build.
The initial iOS developer beta included options to show and hide contact photos within the Mail app, as well as some Settings improvements. However, it seems that there won’t be many other updates this generation, in what could be a very sparse round of changes.
AppleInsider and Apple strongly recommend that users do not install beta operating systems or other software being tested onto “mission-critical” or primary hardware, due to the ever-present danger of bugs and issues that could result in the loss of data. As always, testers should use secondary or non-essential devices and ensure they have sufficient backups of any critical data.
