Samsung is all set to roll out its much-anticipated
One UI 7 update. The new software version will bring a fresh design and several smart features to a wide range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. While the beta version has been available for select models, the stable build will finally start rolling out next week to users globally.
Samsung will begin releasing the stable One UI 7 update starting tomorrow, April 7, 2025. The first devices to receive the update will be the Galaxy S24 series, followed by other flagship models in phases. Users can expect a gradual rollout depending on their device model and region.
To check if One UI 7 is available for your device, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install. If the update is live for your model, it will begin downloading automatically. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has enough battery charge before starting the update.
One UI 7 Update: List Of Eligible Devices
Samsung has shared a list of phones and tablets that will be receiving the One UI 7 update in the first wave:
- Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra
- Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6
- Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 series
- Galaxy A55
Interestingly, the Galaxy A35, which launched alongside the A55, hasn’t made the initial list, but Samsung may include it later. Some budget devices like the Galaxy A06 5G are already shipping with One UI 7 out of the box.
One UI 7 brings a fresh visual design with colourful app icons and improved readability. Notifications are now pill-shaped and larger, and the Quick Panel is easier to access with updated toggles and a new volume bar. The interface now separates notifications and the control panel depending on where you swipe from.
New customisation tools let users personalise widgets and buttons, while the “Now Bar” feature displays useful controls based on activity – whether you’re listening to music, on a call, or working out. Galaxy AI tools like Writing Assist and Call Transcripts in 20 languages have also been introduced. For added security, a new USB protection feature blocks access when the phone is locked.
