Inside Eater Off Menu 2026 in Los Angeles

Date:

Eater Off Menu 2026 transformed Los Angeles’s Tam O’Shanter into a sprawling showcase of dishes, drinks and desserts. The annual event took place at the historic restaurant in Atwater Village, whose interior was described as part 19th-century Scottish tavern and part Snow White-inspired setting.

The celebration featured restaurants and chefs from Los Angeles, New York City and Portland. Participating names included Holbox, Thunderbolt and Night on Earth, Pasjoli, Café Telegrama, Lawry’s, Quarter Sheets, Ji Rong, Kidori, Mister’s and Dean’s, along with Gregory Gourdet of Portland’s Kann.

What guests ate

The food lineup ranged from a 40-foot sheet cake by Hannah Ziskin of Quarter Sheets to a tabletop-sized stargazy pie from Dean’s. Ji Rong carved Peking duck, while Holbox served scallops directly from the shell at a counter focused on Mexican seafood.

Pasjoli served French dip sandwiches with poivre sauce, and Lawry’s prepared its spinning salad to order alongside its prime rib carving carts. On the patio, Café Telegrama offered sweet and savory versions of its ricotta pancakes from an outdoor diner-style setup.

Guests could also try yakitori from Arcadia’s Sumibi Yakitori Kidori and salt bread from Out of Ordi, filled with either sweet corn or ube cream. Mister’s ice cream sandwiches, topped with sweet-salty crunchy brittle, provided another dessert option.

Drinks and visual displays

Thunderbolt and Night on Earth created cocktails inspired by trends highlighted by Punch, including a banana-miso carajillo, a passion fruit refresher made with Hpnotiq, and small “tinis,” including classic and Gilda versions.

A large ice sculpture stood over the game room. It incorporated fish, radishes, beets and tins, adding a theatrical centerpiece to the event.

What happened next

Guests left with gift bags containing products from brands including Luxardo, Unreal, Giadzy’s, Fly By Jing and Ayoh. The article also encouraged attendees to complete a survey for a chance to win a $100 gift card.

Eater said guests could create a profile in its app for first access to future events. The source does not provide a date or location for the next Eater Off Menu celebration.
